For a DIY kit, independent certification answers a critical question: does it actually perform as advertised? Without third-party verification, manufacturers can make unsubstantiated CADR and filtration claims. Our Intertek certification covers CADR testing to the ANSI/AHAM AC-1 standard, particle filtration efficiency to ISO 16890, electrical safety to UL 507, noise assessment to ISO 3746, and energy consumption to IEC 60335.

At our operating power of 50–100W, our kits cost approximately €35–70 per year to run continuously. A comparable commercial HEPA purifier consuming 150–200W costs €105–140/year. Over 5 years, the running cost difference alone saves €350–450, on top of the lower purchase price.
Most commercial air purifier brands (Dyson, Philips, Blueair) are Energy Star certified, but few publish full Intertek test reports. Our kits share the same certification body and testing protocols while achieving CADR figures of 300–600 m³/h — matching or exceeding commercial models priced at €300–800. The key difference: our kits use replaceable MERV 13–16 filters available from any hardware supplier, rather than proprietary filters that cost €50–120 each.
CE Marking is mandatory for electrical products sold in the European Economic Area. It confirms that the product meets EU health, safety, and environmental protection requirements — specifically the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU). Our fan components are CE-marked and FCC compliant. UL 507 (Standard for Electric Fans) is the North American safety standard our fans are also tested to, confirming safe electrical operation.
